2021 sees us celebrate the Argyllshire Gathering's 150th anniversary. A year of celebrations will begin in August 2021, finishing with the 150th Anniversary Ball and Dance in August 2022 (150 years since the first Ball in 1872).
Despite the difficulties posed by the COVID virus we currently anticipate that the following events will take place: the Events section will provide full details in due course.
25-27 August 2021 The 150th Argyllshire Gathering.
The Oban Games, which will include a curtailed Piping Competition, will go ahead. There will be some alterations to the usual set-up to take account of COVID regulations. There will also be a launch event for the Argyllshire Gathering Trust.
The Highland Society of London medal competitions have been cancelled for 2021.
The Ball and Dance have also been cancelled for 2021 as previously intimated.

2 October 2021 Inaugural Lochnell Invitational Piping Competition.
The Argyllshire Gathering will be hosting the Inaugural Lochnell Invitational Piping Competition - an intermediate solo piping competition for pipers under the age of 22 to be held in the chapel at Lochnell Castle. Read more>
